A SMALL APP, CLOSE AT HAND

See what’s happening.
Get back to your day.

Open your cameras on demand

Choose a favourite from the menu bar, or open up to four feeds in a resizable viewer. Native WebRTC playback keeps supported cameras close to live, with HLS fallback where available.

Give a doorbell the right view

Map doorbell events, sensor changes, or custom Home Assistant events to your cameras. A snapshot notification opens the associated live feeds when clicked.

Connect directly to Home Assistant

Use your existing server on your local network, through a VPN, or at its remote HTTPS address. No Home Monitor cloud account or custom Home Assistant integration is required.

YOUR HOME STAYS YOURS

Direct by design.

Camera feeds connect through Home Assistant’s supported camera and media paths. They do not pass through this website. Home Monitor does not record video, send microphone audio, or include usage analytics.

Connection settings stay on your Mac. Sign-in credentials are kept in Keychain, and notification snapshots are temporary. macOS controls notification previews, Focus, and lock-screen visibility.

Alerts require the app to be running and your Mac awake. Live video pauses when your Mac locks or sleeps. Camera and remote media support depend on your Home Assistant setup.
